Our Staff

As passionate mentors of the beautiful game, our coaching staff volunteers their time to inspire the next generation of soccer stars. We believe in the power of community, fostering growth not just in skills, but also in character and teamwork. Guided by our love for the sport and the joy it brings, we dedicate ourselves to shaping well-rounded athletes both on and off the field.

Justin Hauser is a US Soccer certified coach and President of Raymore United Soccer, dedicated to youth development, player growth, and community engagement. With a background in competitive soccer and as a father of three players in the program, he brings both experience and personal passion to coaching. Justin focuses on creating a positive, development-focused environment that emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, confidence, and character while helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. He is also an active member of the Raymore Chamber of Commerce, supporting partnerships that strengthen opportunities for local youth, families, and the broader community.

Matt Sugar is a dedicated soccer coach with a passion for developing young athletes and fostering a love for the game. With over 14 years of experience coaching ages U7 to U13, he holds his US Soccer “E” coaching license and has worked with multiple clubs to support player growth both technically and personally. Coach Sugar emphasizes creativity, confidence, and game management, creating an environment where players can develop their skills while enjoying the sport.

Known for his positive approach, Matt is committed to instilling discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, helping young athletes build confidence and character both on and off the field.

Clint Aswegan is a licensed soccer coach and former collegiate player who brings a competitive edge and deep passion for player development to Raymore United. He leads our U11 Boys team with a strong focus on technical growth, teamwork, sportsmanship, and building confidence both on and off the field. Clint remains actively involved in the game, competing in men’s leagues throughout the Kansas City area, which helps him bring current experience and energy to his coaching style. His dedication to youth development, commitment to player success, and love for the sport make him a valuable asset to our coaching staff and club community.

Rich Bartow has been coaching youth soccer for over 13 years, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to player development. Throughout his coaching career, Rich has earned his NFHS certification as well as his US Soccer “E” coaching license. In addition to coaching youth soccer, Rich serves as the Head Boys Soccer Coach for Summit Christian Academy, where he helped lead the team to a Missouri state runner-up finish last season and was recognized as the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association (MHSSCA) Private School Coach of the Year. Rich uses his love of the game and commitment to excellence to help athletes of all ages achieve their individual goals, emphasizing growth, discipline, teamwork, and confidence both on and off the field.

Steven has coached extensively throughout the Kansas City area, including multiple years with NCF, Raymore Parks & Recreation and other competitive clubs. His experience spans a wide range of age groups from early development (6U) through high school-aged players (15U), competing in leagues such as the Heartland Soccer Association and KC Metro League. His background includes both head and assistant coaching roles, giving him a well-rounded perspective on player growth and team success.

 

He holds a U.S. Soccer National D License along with multiple age-group certifications (4v4, 9v9, 11v11) and advanced training through United Soccer Coaches, including diplomas in technical training, defending principles, and futsal. Steven also served as Raymore’s “Futsal Czar” from 2023–2025, where he led and expanded the city’s winter futsal programming.

Coach Jake brings a lifelong passion for soccer and nine seasons of coaching experience to Raymore United. Having played both recreational and competitive soccer growing up, Jacob continued playing in indoor leagues through adulthood, building a strong understanding and love for the game.

His coaching journey began when his son developed an interest in soccer, sparking a passion for mentoring young athletes. Jacob focuses on player development, teamwork, and creating a positive environment where athletes can build confidence and enjoy the game. His teams have experienced success on the field, including two first-place finishes, while maintaining a strong emphasis on effort, discipline, and growth.

As a parent of a player within the club, Jacob values communication, development, and creating a positive experience for players and families alike. He is committed to helping athletes grow both on and off the field while fostering a player-first environment.

Jeff is a U.S. Soccer certified coach with over five years of experience developing youth players across a variety of ages and skill levels. A proud military veteran, Jeff brings discipline, leadership, teamwork, and a passion for excellence to every training session and match environment. He is dedicated to fostering growth both on and off the field, helping young athletes build confidence, character, and a strong understanding of the game. Through positive mentorship and a player-first approach, Jeff is committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential while creating an environment centered on hard work, respect, and continuous improvement.

Coach Jessica understands the impact strong coaching, positive encouragement, and a positive team culture can have on young athletes. With an extensive background as a player and several years of coaching experience, she brings both knowledge of the game and a passion for player development to the field. Jessica has developed a strong understanding of the game, teamwork, and the dedication required to grow as an athlete. Over the past three years, she has coached youth soccer with a focus on building fundamentals, confidence, and technical skills. Known for her energy and ability to connect with players, Jessica creates an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and motivated to improve. As both a coach and parent within the club, Jessica values teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth, emphasizing development on and off the field. She is passionate about helping players build confidence, resilience, and character while fostering a positive team culture where athletes can grow, compete, and enjoy the game.

Coach Jay is a licensed U.S. Soccer coach with more than 10 years of playing experience, specializing in goalkeeping while bringing knowledge from multiple positions on the field. His well-rounded understanding of the game helps players develop both technically and tactically while building confidence in all areas of play.

Over the past three years, Jay has developed a passion for coaching and mentoring young athletes. He is committed to developing dedicated players both on and off the field, emphasizing teamwork, accountability, confidence, and a strong work ethic.

As a devoted husband and proud father of three boys, Jay values leadership and creating a positive environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and motivated to grow both as players and people.

With more than 30 years of youth coaching experience, Ryan has dedicated much of his life to helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. His coaching background spans soccer, football, baseball, and basketball, providing a well-rounded perspective on player development, teamwork, and leadership. He spent five years coaching his oldest daughter in recreational and club soccer in Overland Park, along with five years coaching his son through Raymore Parks & Recreation before he joined Raymore United Soccer Club.

His passion is helping kids develop their skills on the field while also building confidence, character, and leadership off the field. He believes sports are a powerful tool for teaching teamwork, resilience, and responsibility lessons that extend far beyond the game. In addition to coaching, he proudly serves as a board member ambassador for the American Cancer Society, supporting efforts to make a positive impact in the community.

Coach Fletcher serves as the head coach for both the boys' and girls' varsity soccer teams at Raymore-Peculiar High School. He joined the Ray-Pec coaching staff for the 2023–2024 school year, bringing with him over two decades of experience in high school soccer. Prior to his tenure at Ray-Pec, Coach Fletcher led programs at Fort Osage High School and Grandview High School.

 

Born in England and a lifelong Manchester City supporter, Fletcher moved to the United States in 1990. His early career in the U.S. included roles as a facility manager, coach, referee, and player for a local soccer organization. He has also been active in youth soccer development, serving on the Midwest Regional Championships Committee and as the State Youth Referee Administrator for Kansas. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Fletcher is a teacher at Ray-Pec East Middle School. He also serves as the club liaison for Raymore United Soccer Club, helping to strengthen the connection between the high school and local youth soccer. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, two of whom have begun their own soccer journeys with the Sporting Sprites.
